In past years, NRCA-approved Roofing Day in DC issues have included roofing training incentives, building infrastructure legislation, and immigration reform. Workforce shortage is a leading topic of discussion for the upcoming Roofing Day in DC event on March 24, 2021.

NRCA Unveils New Online ProCertification Course

With nearly two decades of experience in construction, Jared Mellor is a project manager with Roof Systems Consultants, a position he has held since 2004. Jared Mellor is a member of the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA), which works with roofing professionals across the country and offers a range of educational resources and industry research.

With the COVID-19 pandemic ongoing, the organization has continued to adapt and move many of its courses online, most recently allowing members to access its ProCertification Qualified Assessor program virtually. Available online for a short time, the course enables eligible members to earn certification in installing specific roofing systems.

For a fee, participants can access relevant educational materials and subsequently take the certification exam, with the revenues generated going to qualified assessors. The NRCA notes that the provided materials include information on procedures and policies, alongside appropriate resources for taking the exams.
